as some of you may know, i've been working on a book, the book of da, with mike lately. one of the main reasons i wanted to do this project was so i could make up some sea critters. here's a couple from the other day.
just hard for me to tell where the beast ends and the background begins. I see what I think are paws which makes him look kinda mammal-like. is he swooping down from above...or is he emerging from a cave?
if you click the image to enlarge it you'll note the hatchings on the beast and not the background. either way i don't know that it matters al long as it looks cool.
having a tough time with the guy in panel 2...but those jelly fish guys are the bees knees
